Here's who I am & what I do
Introduction
Happy. Pragmatic. Responsible.
"A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance." - King Solomon.
I'm a happy-go-lucky person, because worries was never solved with negativity and dread. Why frown when you can face your troubles head-on with a smile? In the face of tough problems, a cheerful attitude helps me take things in stride, thus overcoming obstacles after obstacles.
As for pragmatism, a Chinese saying - translated literally - goes, "We would rather be short of books than believe all that they say" (尽信书,不如无书). When it comes to solving real world problems, sometimes practicality triumphs over what one can learn in books. As an student, I soon learnt that solely poring over piles of lecture notes could never help salvage dire situations; sometimes, the problem can be easily solved with just a look at the actual thing itself.
Lastly, the importance of responsibility was thoroughly ingrained in me ever since I was young. No matter the situation, one must always be responsible for his/her actions. Even when things go wrong, it is more important to take responsibility of the fault and correct it myself, rather than giving excuses.
Every man has to have a code. Me? I have three.
Happy. Pragmatic. Responsible.
